I've had three books on rotation recently: All About Love by Bell Hooks, Film for Her by Orion Carloto, and The Poetics of Space by Gaston Bachelard
What’s your favorite alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink?
My favorite alcoholic drink depends on my mood. So it's between a good white wine (Chardonnay mostly), Kettle One on the rocks, or a nice brandy. Favorite non-alcoholic drink would be between water or super potent ginger tea

Definitely a night owl
What’s your favorite restaurant?
There's a restaurant called One Eleven Chop House in Massachusetts. My mom took me there a few times as a kid and even though my palate wasn't developed enough to actually enjoy the food (this place was super gourmet at the time), the atmosphere was beautiful and mysterious so it stuck with me

A Tribe Called Quest, Billy Joel, Barbara Streisand, and Sade

What do you do to unwind?
I have a few things. I pray, have a glass of wine (or three), read, listen to music, and I look up at the sky. It makes me feel small and something about looking up and knowing that eternity is just beyond our atmosphere calms me down and reminds me that there are greater things at play, that my problems are not as life-altering and scary as I can sometimes psyche myself up to believing they are

What’s your favorite piece of furniture you’ve ever owned?
I recently bought a recliner and I'm extremely excited about it
What would be the best city to live in?
Honestly, I've got no clue. It's something that I hope to figure out for myself eventually. My ideal place would be extremely diverse and have a good mixture of nature and city. It HAS to have a beach
What is the most beautiful view you’ve seen?
I was 14 years old and my mother picked me up from school early so we could go to the beach and talk. I remember the sun being super intense that day and the water was sparkling as if someone threw tons of glitter into it. It was gorgeous
Who’s your favorite character from a TV show, movie, or book?
Some of my favorite characters are Hades from the Disney Hercules movie, Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada, Micheal Scott from The Office (that show IS funny, I don't care what anyone says), and Diana Armstrong from the Players Club

It's between ginger tea and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet
What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
I've had so many great meals. One of them is the rice, chicken, and beans my babysitters used to make me growing up
Besides your home and your work, where do you spend most of your time?
I spend all of my time at home working haha
What’s the worst or best job you’ve had?
The WORST job I had was when I was working as a cook at a local movie theater when I was 18 for $7.25 an hour. The best job I've had is the one I'm working currently as a freelance graphic designer
What would you do with the extra time if you never had to sleep?
I'd read, study more languages, and plan world domination of course
What are you most grateful for?
Being alive. Life is extremely odd at times but there are so many wonders all around us that we take for granted. Being able to feel and express and experience ourselves and each other is such a rich and potent gift
