What was the last book you really got into?

I've had three books on rotation recently: All About Love by Bell Hooks, Film for Her by Orion Carloto, and The Poetics of Space by Gaston Bachelard

What’s your favorite alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink?

My favorite alcoholic drink depends on my mood. So it's between a good white wine (Chardonnay mostly), Kettle One on the rocks, or a nice brandy. Favorite non-alcoholic drink would be between water or super potent ginger tea

What are you kind of obsessed with these days?

Books and the wonders of Scanimate animations

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Definitely a night owl

What’s your favorite restaurant?

There's a restaurant called One Eleven Chop House in Massachusetts. My mom took me there a few times as a kid and even though my palate wasn't developed enough to actually enjoy the food (this place was super gourmet at the time), the atmosphere was beautiful and mysterious so it stuck with me

Who is your favorite author?

I don't think I have a favorite author yet

What was the last show you binge-watched?

Sex and the City

What music artist do you never get tired of?

A Tribe Called Quest, Billy Joel, Barbara Streisand, and Sade

What are some things everyone should try at least once?

Study a foreign language and live abroad

What’s the best thing that has happened to you this month?

I forgave my past self

What do you do to unwind?

I have a few things. I pray, have a glass of wine (or three), read, listen to music, and I look up at the sky. It makes me feel small and something about looking up and knowing that eternity is just beyond our atmosphere calms me down and reminds me that there are greater things at play, that my problems are not as life-altering and scary as I can sometimes psyche myself up to believing they are

What’s your favorite app on your phone?

Tumblr haha (I'll never let it go)

What’s your favorite piece of furniture you’ve ever owned?

I recently bought a recliner and I'm extremely excited about it

What would be the best city to live in?

Honestly, I've got no clue. It's something that I hope to figure out for myself eventually. My ideal place would be extremely diverse and have a good mixture of nature and city. It HAS to have a beach

What is the most beautiful view you’ve seen?

I was 14 years old and my mother picked me up from school early so we could go to the beach and talk. I remember the sun being super intense that day and the water was sparkling as if someone threw tons of glitter into it. It was gorgeous

Who’s your favorite character from a TV show, movie, or book?

Some of my favorite characters are Hades from the Disney Hercules movie, Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada, Micheal Scott from The Office (that show IS funny, I don't care what anyone says), and Diana Armstrong from the Players Club

What’s your favorite smell?

It's between ginger tea and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet

What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?

I've had so many great meals. One of them is the rice, chicken, and beans my babysitters used to make me growing up

Besides your home and your work, where do you spend most of your time?

I spend all of my time at home working haha

What’s the worst or best job you’ve had?

The WORST job I had was when I was working as a cook at a local movie theater when I was 18 for $7.25 an hour. The best job I've had is the one I'm working currently as a freelance graphic designer

What would you do with the extra time if you never had to sleep?

I'd read, study more languages, and plan world domination of course

What are you most grateful for?

Being alive. Life is extremely odd at times but there are so many wonders all around us that we take for granted. Being able to feel and express and experience ourselves and each other is such a rich and potent gift

What’s your favorite quote or saying?

"When you believe in things that you don't understand, then you suffer" - Stevie Wonder

What’s the most essential part of a friendship?

Honest communication

What are you looking forward to in 2021?

I'm looking forward to connecting with more people, broadening my creative reach, and living as much as I can
